As if the rumors of a South Korean ban weren’t enough, cryptocurrencies face a double whammy after the Chinese government chimed in with the Korean authorities.
It’s somewhat ironic that cryptocurrencies, which threatened to weaken government control over our monetary affairs, are now at the mercy of the same governments.
I’ve finally mustered up some courage to say the following three dreaded words: cryptocurrencies are crashing! Yes, it’s happening and we have governments to blame.
Cryptocurrency zealots—those who subscribe to.

As the South Korean government backs away from a full-scale ban, investors should be thinking more and more about political risk. How do you protect your crypto investments against sudden shifts in the regulatory landscape?
One option is to avoid cryptos altogether. I know the potential returns are seductive, but if you can’t take the heat, maybe kitchens aren’t the best place for you.
On the other hand, you could ask: Which cryptos are likely to survive the regulatory purge?
I’ve used this thought experiment.

Stellar Lumen (XLM) Explanation
Lumen (XLM), the native cryptocurrency of the Stellar network, is creating quite a buzz in the crypto-market, thanks to Stellar’s recent tie-up with IBM (NYSE:IBM).
The original name for Lumen in 2014 was “Stellar” but, in 2015, the name was changed to Lumen to avoid confusion between the currency and the network itself.
You can’t hold a lumen in your hand, because they are built into the network. But you can store them in Lumen wallets, also called XLM wallets.
Before we dive into.

XRP Coin Prices: Corrections Are a Healthy Part of a Bullish Trend
Cryptocurrencies continue to garner a lot of attention, and even the slightest mention of the work “blockchain” piques investor interest. There are a lot of opinions with regards to this new asset class, and I can honestly say that I am skeptical regarding the longevity of this asset class. But that does not mean that I do not believe that further gains are to be made before everything is said and done.

Once again, regulators at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) have rejected applications for Bitcoin-based exchange-traded funds (ETFs), citing volatility as their main concern.
Three different funds submitted proposals for the ETFs. However, all three put distance between the proposed product and the underlying asset, meaning that the ETFs would not hold Bitcoin directly. Instead, the fund would track Bitcoin futures.
One of the firms, Direxion Shares ETF Trust, released a statement on January 8 to explain what happened.
“On a call with the Staff on January 5, 2018, the Staff expressed concerns regarding the.

While everyone was in shock and awe at what appeared to be a cryptocurrency crash (it wasn’t), one digital currency kept on gradually inching higher. And no points for guessing—it was Ethereum.
Always touted as the strongest rival to Bitcoin, Ether has been gaining ground on the back of the attractiveness of the Ethereum platform. Currently, the ETH price is over $1,200, up almost 11%, whereas Bitcoin is still in the red. The digital token, Ether, hit headlines some time ago when it crossed the $1,000 mark. And now, one of the creators of the currency has stated.

Analyzing Ethereum’s Potential Amid Fears of Bitcoin Crash in 2018
Ethereum is an offshoot of Bitcoin, so it’s understandable why investors view the two through the same lens. I often see them worrying that Ethereum prices will nosedive in the event of a Bitcoin crash in 2018. With Bitcoin prices near their all-time highs, fears of a Bitcoin crash may be well-founded. But holders of ETH have little to worry about.
Altcoin prices have historically moved in tandem with Bitcoin. Every time Bitcoin generated investor interest,.
